Nothing like getting shut out at home against your rival in a big game. The main difference in the game was MSU's approach to getting in front of the net on their power play, which resulted in the games only goal, against Michigan's pass the puck around and let Jeff Lerg see every shot approach to theirs. Michigan had a multitude of chances in the third. About 50% percent were huge saves by Lerg and the other 50% were bad shots that missed the net, as they continue to establish themselves as being unable to score big goals at big times in big games like the last 10 years worth of teams.
